Getting back on track after being away from my stampin’ site for a couple of days. I tell ya, I was having withdrawal pains! But, I did get to visit my favorite stamping place in Memphis and stocked up on a few “must haves.” Hubby sits in the car doing crosswords while I check out each and every item- ain’t he sweet?
Today’s Limited Supply Challenge was right down my alley. I needed to stock up on my “Thinking of You” stash and today we were to make three different cards using the same paper, stamps, embellies, etc. I got to use my new beautiful Imaginesce double sided paper and my Birds Galore clear stamps from Inkadinkado. Plus- one of my favorite color combo’s- Black, White and Soft Sky.
Stamps: Birds Galore by Inkadinkado, SU! Essence of Love for the sentiment, Imaginesce Black Tie Optional DS DP, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder, Stazon Jet Black ink, black brads, Scallop circle punch and Soft Sky DS ribbon.
Hope your week has been great and you are looking forward to a wonderful weekend.
Great color combo today- Sage Shadow, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla. I love it and will use it again. I cased a sketch from the awesome gallery of nitestamper- check it out: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/608260?sort=&page=&sortby=&sorttime=&sortdir=
I also love this designer paper from SandyLion that I got for a quarter at Michael’s a couple of weeks ago. You can’t tell from the picture, but it is embossed and has a very nice texture. Got to do a little cutting, which I love to do and use the terrific Priceless set from Stampin’ Up.
The Very Vanilla layer is popped up on dimensionals. Overall card size is 5″X5″. The brads are clear rhinestones that I bought at Target a couple of years ago in a package of 100 in various colors on sale for a dollar.
Supplies used: Stamps: Stampin’ Up Priceless,Sage Shadow, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla cardstock; SandyLion Tile Designer Paper; Chocolate Chip and Sage Shadow ink; Chocolate satin ribbon, Rhinestone brads, Chipboard corners from Basic Grey and Antique Brass Hodgepodge Hardware.

Of course, all family events now receive handmade card creations and they are beginning to notice! This week my mom and my niece put in orders for cards and I was thrilled. The baseball Thank You was for my niece Jill to send to her co-workers as a thank you for a graduation gift and the little gift card was a 1st grade teacher thank from my 7 year old nephew. I thought they both turned out cute and I got lots of praise (meaning I will be the “go to” gal for a special card from now on- and I just love it.

What a wonderful time I had this week visiting with my stampin’ friends! I wanted to make some special thank you’s for our hostesses, so gals, these are coming your way this week. Cleo could run a fancy bed and breakfast. Her home is absolutely gorgeous- her sense of interior design is awesome. Beautiful surroundings with flowers, birds, squirrels and even raccoons! I had a wonderful time visiting with her and waking up to a big country breakfast. Her daughter Leisa, my great friend Lisa and her mom Joanne came over for this great meal and our fun started all over again! We then went to Leisa’s awesome home in the woods and stamped, ate and giggled like little girls all day long. It was truly a trip I will remember and cherish for many years to come.
I dug out these cute Mary Engelbreit stamps from my stash and then today’s IC (Inspiration Challenge) gave me inspiration for the colors and designer paper. I colored the images with Prismacolor pencils and it was quite time-consuming but I really like the finished product. Here are the candles that inspired my colors:
Supplies: Stamps: All Night Media The Best of Mary Engelbreit; Ink: Stazon Jet Black; Paper: Wild Wasabi, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, American Crafts Beach Towel Designer Paper; Prismacolor Pencils, Green and White GG Ribbon, Red Heart Brads;
I will post our stamp day creations a little later and maybe a photo of all of us having fun.
Hope your weekend is going great and thanks for looking.
We had two great challenges this week and I decided to combine them. The color challenge was to use Soft Sky, Ruby Red and Pumpkin Pie and I admit I wasn’t too excited about this combo- until I saw the Ways to Use It challenge, which was to use inchies (one inch square stamped images)
I immediately thought of the new Tart and Tangy set, which has become one of my favorites and came up with this card.
I think it’s pretty cute.
Supplies: Stamps: SU! Tart and Tangy, MFT You Take the Cake; Soft Sky, Ruby Red, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White cardstock; Summer Picnic Designer Series Paper; Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Ruby Red, Garden Green, Chocolate Chip; SU! Markers; Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Pumpkin Pie Ribbon, Pumpkin Pie brad, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, Square punch;
God has blessed me with a wonderful mother. A few days ago someone asked me “What is your favorite memory of Mom?” Well, there isn’t just one- every moment with her is my most special memory. She is kind, caring, loving and my hero.
A card and a gift on Mother’s Day seem so small compared to the love I have for her. Thank you Mother for being my inspiration for 60 years!
Supplies used: Penny Black Whispered Wishes stamp, Prismacolor pencils, Gamsol, blenders, Blue gingham ribbon; Cuttlebug Swirls Embossing Folder, Blue brads, Bazzill green and yellow cardstock, SU! Whisper White cardstock;
